Founded in 1872, Shiseido started out as a Western-style pharmacy in Tokyo, Japan. In 1897, Shiseido introduced Eudermine, a softening lotion that marked the brand's shift to a cosmetics company. Today, the Shiseido company houses a range of cosmetics brands offering skin care, makeup, fragrances and beauty accessories like eyelash curlers.
